Dr. Adel­man is a retired pedi­atric sur­geon, an artist, sil­ver­smith, edi­tor and author of three books. She lives in Michi­gan, mar­ried to a law pro­fes­sor. She was the first woman pres­i­dent of local and state med­ical soci­eties and past AMA trustee. Her trav­els have tak­en her all around the world. She speaks five lan­guages, includ­ing Ara­bic and Hebrew.
