Do you sell books?
We don’t sell books. However, you can purchase the books featured on our site by clicking the “Buy” button on a book page, which will allow you to buy the book from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or IndieBound. Buying a book through these affiliate links is a great way to help support us, as we receive a portion of the profit.

I submitted a book for review. Why haven’t I heard back / Why hasn’t a review been published?
Books are reviewed at the discretion of the editorial team, who evaluate books based on quality and Jewish content. Please note that we only review a small number of the books that are submitted to us.
Due to the large number of submissions Jewish Book Council receives, it usually takes the editorial team two to three months to reach a decision on each submission. If, after that time, you would like to check on the status of your submission, you may email firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of your book and the date you submitted the title. Please be aware that we will not notify you once a decision has been reached unless you contact us in this manner. We do not provide feedback as to why or why not specific books are chosen to be reviewed.
Do you have a list of agents and publishers who work on Jewish-interest books?
While we don’t have a list of specific agents or publishers, we recommend finding comparable titles and reading the acknowledgments for potential agent possibilities, and looking at the publisher. Additionally, you may be interested in attending one of our writers’ seminars where we bring together individuals across the publishing industry, including agents and publishers, to meet with authors.

I am hoping to bring in authors to my local community. What are the options and where can I found your touring authors?
If you are interested in bringing an author into your community, please visit our “JBC Authors” section. There will you be information on becoming a JBC Network member site along with information about bringing in one-off authors through JBC’s speakers’ bureau, Read On.
