Born and bred in New York City, Martha Mendelsohn ventured as far as Westchester for Sarah Lawrence College. She worked as a reader for Holt Rinehart and Winston, associate editor of Tikkun magazine, and a regular contributor to The Jewish Week. Her fiction and non-fiction have appeared in The New York Times, Tikkun and Moment magazines, and online.
