Born in the UK, Judith Roumani has lived in four countries. Her many visits to Italy inspired this book. Founder and director of the Jewish Institute of Pitigliano, she has published numerous articles about Sephardic literature, translated two books, and is co-editor of Jewish Libya, also founder and editor of Sephardic Horizons journal.
