Judith Frank holds a B.A. from the Hebrew Uni­ver­si­ty, and an M.F.A. and Ph.D. from Cor­nell. She is the author of Cry­ba­by Butch, which won a Lamb­da Lit­er­ary Award in 2004, and which Claire Mes­sud called ​“sear­ing and mem­o­rable.” She has received an NEA Fel­low­ship and has been a res­i­dent at Yad­do and the Mac­Dow­ell Colony. She teach­es at Amherst Col­lege, and lives in Mass­a­chu­setts with her part­ner and two children.
