Prepar­ing for most of his life to write his­tor­i­cal fic­tion, Jeff Lefkowitz earned a his­to­ry degree, Phi Beta Kap­pa, at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Texas and taught writ­ing to law stu­dents. He detoured tem­porar­i­ly by prac­tic­ing law for 30 years. Fueled by a pas­sion for Jew­ish edu­ca­tion, he cre­at­ed and teach­es an extracur­ric­u­lar Jew­ish his­to­ry course for high school students.
