James G. Robin­son has spent near­ly two decades at The New York Times and has taught at NYU and Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty. In 2017, the Times pub­lished his arti­cle Road to Recov­ery, describ­ing a fam­i­ly road trip after the death of his five-year-old son. The strong response from read­ers inspired his first book, a mem­oir of their family’s remark­able jour­ney together.
