Gail Buck­land has writ­ten and col­lab­o­rat­ed on 12 books of pho­to­graph­ic his­to­ry. She is a for­mer cura­tor of the Roy­al Pho­to­graph­ic Soci­ety of Great Britain, a Ben­jamin Men­schel Dis­tin­guished Pro­fes­sor at the Coop­er Union, and a guest cura­tor at many Amer­i­can muse­ums. She lives in War­wick, NY, and New York City.
