Don Koplen, 70, lives in Boulder, CO. He grew up in Danville, VA, where his grandfather started an Orthodox synagogue and his father started the Reform temple. He is an entrepreneur, family man, musician, athlete and member of a Jewish renewal community. His family clothing store, started in the 1880s, still serves as an intersection of black and white communities.
