D.B. Shus­ter is the fic­tion-writ­ing pen name of soci­ol­o­gist Dana Beth Wein­berg. A grad­u­ate of Har­vard Uni­ver­si­ty, she is Chair and Pro­fes­sor of Soci­ol­o­gy at Queens Col­lege-City Uni­ver­si­ty of New York by day, and a thriller writer by night. Some­times she sleeps. A native of Cleve­land she lives in New York with her family.
