David Litt left the White House in 2016 as a special assistant to the president and senior presidential speechwriter. Described as the “comic muse for the president” for his work on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, David has contributed jokes to every humorous Obama speech since 2009. In addition to his writing for the White House, David has written for The Onion, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, and The New York Times. He lives in Washington, DC with his girlfriend and two goldfish.
