Adina Hoffman is the author of three previous books, including Sacred Trash: The Lost and Found World of the Cairo Geniza with Peter Cole, which received the ALA’s award for the Jewish book of the year. The recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship, she received a Windham Campbell Prize in 2013. She divides her time between Jerusalem and New Haven.
