Chavi Eve Karkowsky, MD, is a NY-based maternal-fetal medicine specialist. She has lived in Israel, most recently 2017 – 2019, where the book was written in a succession of Tel Aviv cafes; and she worked as a high-risk obstetrician at a small hospital in Netanya during that time.
