Every three-year-old kid thinks private parts are funny. The Tushy Book focuses on the bum and using rhyme, wit and cute illustrations just has fun with it. In clever, kid-friendly language it outlines how useful this body part actually is — practical for taking a nap, fitting comfortably on laps, sledding and keeping underwear from falling down. (“Sitting down would not be cushy if you didn’t have your tushy!”) This book makes you want to grab a toddler, sit them firmly on your lap and start reading, enjoying the harmless fun of this good-natured kids’ book. Illustrator Dockray is to be commended on the outstanding pen and water color paintings that bring the words to life and will maintain a toddler’s delighted interest from start to finish. For ages 2 – 4.
