Take me out to the Seder! Rabbi Forman has created a fun and engaging reinterpretation of the Passover Haggadah for baseball lovers and their families. This Haggadah introduces Pre-Game Warm Ups,” suggestions for a successful holiday dinner that include organizing the equipment” before the game and giving players” uniforms to add to the camaraderie. Passover symbols are re-imagined as objects relevant to a baseball game — a z’roa as a baseball bat and karpas as the baseball field. The different steps of the seder are innings” and the seder leader is the announcer.”

With thought, originality and respect, Forman adds to the conventional seder rituals. She makes connections to the rituals of baseball and the history of the sport. The watercolor illustrations reinforce the baseball theme and elucidate the Passover symbols.

Highly recommended for baseball-loving families of all ages.
