Avi Shilon is a 36-year-old journalist and PhD student. Since completing his military service in 1997, he has worked as a writer, editor, and columnist covering culture, social and political issues for Israel’s leading newspapers and websites, Maariv, Globes, and Haaretz. In 2007, he became the editor of the op-ed page editor for IsraelHayom, Israel’s most widely read and circulated newspaper.
He holds a B.A. in philosophy and an M.A. in Jewish history, both from Tel Aviv University. He is currently working on a PhD in the political science department at Bar-Ilan University.
