Keep your New Year’s res­o­lu­tion to read more with Lit­Faced, a new Jew­ish Book Coun­cil series for young pro­fes­sion­als host­ed by Moishe HoUWS in New York City.

Get Lit­Faced on great reads togeth­er with oth­er young Jews at month­ly book club dis­cus­sions and author talks, curat­ed by Jew­ish Book Coun­cil. Build a com­mu­ni­ty around books, meet con­ge­nial read­ers and kin­dred spir­its, and get to know excit­ing new authors and their work over wine and refresh­ments on the cozy couch­es of the Moishe HoUWS gallery.

Don’t want to keep your book once you’ve read it? Moishe HoUWS will be accept­ing guests’ copies of the works dis­cussed to donate to prison libraries and lit­er­a­cy pro­grams at the end of each book club meet­ing. Get Lit­Faced and give back: two excel­lent res­o­lu­tions for 2016!

Lit­Faced launch­es on Tu Bish­vat 5776 with a facil­i­tat­ed dis­cus­sion of All Rus­sians Love Birch Trees, an award-win­ning debut nov­el by Olga Grjas­nowa. Cel­e­brate the Jew­ish New Year for the Trees amid a stun­ning lit­er­ary land­scape tra­vers­ing Azer­bai­jan, Ger­many, and Israel at Moishe HoUWS on Mon­day, Jan­u­ary 25 begin­ning at 7:30 PM.
