Get LitFaced January 2016: All Russians Love Birch Trees
Moishe Houws
New York City
Keep your New Year’s resolution to read more with LitFaced, a new Jewish Book Council series for young professionals hosted by Moishe HoUWS in New York City.
Get LitFaced on great reads together with other young Jews at monthly book club discussions and author talks, curated by Jewish Book Council. Build a community around books, meet congenial readers and kindred spirits, and get to know exciting new authors and their work over wine and refreshments on the cozy couches of the Moishe HoUWS gallery.
Don’t want to keep your book once you’ve read it? Moishe HoUWS will be accepting guests’ copies of the works discussed to donate to prison libraries and literacy programs at the end of each book club meeting. Get LitFaced and give back: two excellent resolutions for 2016!
LitFaced launches on Tu Bishvat 5776 with a facilitated discussion of All Russians Love Birch Trees, an award-winning debut novel by Olga Grjasnowa. Celebrate the Jewish New Year for the Trees amid a stunning literary landscape traversing Azerbaijan, Germany, and Israel at Moishe HoUWS on Monday, January 25 beginning at 7:30 PM. Hope to see you there!
Moishe House events are open to the public, ages 22 – 30.
