Susan Wein­berg is a writer, artist and fam­i­ly his­to­ri­an. She weaves these skills togeth­er in an explo­ration of Jew­ish her­itage, offer­ing a lay­ered retelling. She believes sto­ry helps us to under­stand our com­mon con­nec­tions. In 2011 she began the Jew­ish Iden­ti­ty and Lega­cy Project, an oral his­to­ry project with elders, which ulti­mate­ly unfold­ed into the book We Spoke Jewish.
