Stephanie Smartschan is a jour­nal­ist turned Jew­ish com­mu­nal pro­fes­sion­al. She worked for The Boston Globe while a stu­dent at North­east­ern Uni­ver­si­ty and went on to write for The Cape Cod Times, gar­ner­ing many region­al awards. Stephanie has spent more than 13 years in mar­ket­ing and devel­op­ment at Jew­ish non­prof­its. She lives in Allen­town, Penn­syl­va­nia, with her hus­band and two daughters.
