Shirley Idel­son is Leon A. Jick Direc­tor of the Horn­stein Jew­ish Pro­fes­sion­al Lead­er­ship Pro­gram at Bran­deis Uni­ver­si­ty. She served as dean of Hebrew Union Col­lege – Jew­ish Insti­tute of Reli­gion from 2007 to 2016, and she is co-edi­tor of Les­bian Rab­bis: The First Gen­er­a­tion.
