Sheila Jelen is the Zantker Professor of Jewish Literature, Culture and History at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. She is the author, most recently, of Salvage Poetics: Post-Holocaust American Jewish Folk Ethnographies (2020) and co-editor of many volumes, including Reconstructing the Old Country: American Jews in the Post Holocaust Decades (2017) and The Book Regained: Shai Agnon Comes Home (in press).
