Ruth Marks Eglash is an award-win­ning vet­er­an jour­nal­ist based in Israel. She cur­rent­ly writes for an array of media out­lets such as Fox News and Jew­ish Insid­er. She spent eight years as the Jerusalem cor­re­spon­dent for The Wash­ing­ton Post, and 13 years as a beat reporter and edi­tor at The Jerusalem Post. In 2010, Ruth won the Unit­ed Nations Alliance of Civ­i­liza­tion Jour­nal­ism Award.Born and raised in the U.K. to a British moth­er and an immi­grant Israeli father, Ruth stud­ied media com­mu­ni­ca­tions at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Leeds and immi­grat­ed to Israel in the mid-1990s. She has spent short stints in New York and in Mil­wau­kee, Wis., but now lives just out­side Jerusalem with her hus­band, three young adult chil­dren, and a Shih-Tzu named Kylie.
