He has writ­ten more than 190 peer-reviewed sci­en­tif­ic arti­cles and has been rec­og­nized with an Elle, an Emmy, and the Paul G. Rogers Award from the Nation­al Library of Med­i­cine for Best Med­ical Com­mu­ni­ca­tor. He lives in Cleve­land, Ohio.
