Michael Frizell, MFA, Direc­tor of Stu­dent Learn­ing Ser­vices at Mis­souri State Uni­ver­si­ty, is Edi­tor of The Learn­ing Assis­tance Review, the peer-reviewed jour­nal of the Nation­al Col­lege Learn­ing Cen­ter Asso­ci­a­tion where he also serves as pres­i­dent. He holds an MFA in cre­ative non­fic­tion from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Arkansas at Mon­ti­cel­lo. His poet­ry, short sto­ries, and cre­ative non­fic­tion appear in lit­er­ary jour­nals and in com­ic books for Tidal Wave Enter­tain­ment, where he writes biogra­phies of the famous and infa­mous. He also serves as the asso­ciate edi­tor for Skye Press, an imprint of Ogh­ma Cre­ative Media seri­al­iz­ing his graph­ic nov­el, Ben­der, which orig­i­nal­ly appeared in Sad­dle­bag Dis­patch­es mag­a­zine. A hard­cov­er vol­ume col­lect­ing the entire series about the infa­mous ser­i­al killer fam­i­ly from South­east Kansas is expect­ed this fall.
