Howard Lovy

Howard Lovy is a book edi­tor, jour­nal­ist, and author with forty years of expe­ri­ence at news­pa­pers, mag­a­zines, and news ser­vices. Through­out his career, he has cov­ered a wide range of top­ics, includ­ing nan­otech­nol­o­gy, the auto indus­try, the Mideast con­flict, and Jew­ish issues. Howard has worked every­where from small-town Michi­gan week­lies like the Roscom­mon Coun­ty Her­ald-News to big-city dailies like the Detroit News and inter­na­tion­al wire ser­vices like the Jew­ish Tele­graph­ic Agency. His free­lance work has appeared in Pub­lish­ers Week­ly, Lon­greads, the Jerusalem Post, and the Jew­ish Dai­ly For­ward, among oth­er pub­li­ca­tions. In addi­tion to his work as a jour­nal­ist and book edi­tor, Howard is a pod­cast pro­duc­er and host for the Alliance of Inde­pen­dent Authors and a for­mer exec­u­tive edi­tor of Fore­word Reviews. Like Jake and Cait, the char­ac­ters in his nov­el, Howard’s jour­ney has tak­en him from Michi­gan to New York City and back to North­ern Michi­gan, where he now lives with his wife, Hei­di, and their dog, Hen­ry.
