Born in Brook­lyn, Hen­ry Saltz­man earned an M.S. in Edu­ca­tion from Brook­lyn Col­lege, taught in var­i­ous junior and senior high schools and a num­ber of yeshiv­as. Hen­ry has served as the pro­gram offi­cer at the Ford Foun­da­tion, edu­ca­tion advi­sor to May­or Lind­say, direc­tor of the Bernard Van Leer Foun­da­tion, The Hague, pres­i­dent of Pratt Insti­tute, and direc­tor of Cit­i­zen’s Com­mit­tee for Children.
