Born in Ukraine in 1960, Eduard Shyfrin came clos­er to Judaism lat­er in life. With a PhD in Met­al­lur­gy and a suc­cess­ful busi­ness career, he began con­sid­er­ing exis­ten­tial ques­tions, not find­ing suf­fi­cient answers in sci­ence. He dis­cussed spir­i­tu­al­i­ty with Russ­ian Chief Rab­bi Ber­el Lazar and engaged in study of Torah, Tal­mud, and Kab­bal­ah. His Torah com­men­taries have been pub­lished on Chabad​.org.
