With a PhD from Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty, Edith Rogovin Frankel taught for many years at the Hebrew Uni­ver­si­ty, specif­i­cal­ly in the field of Russ­ian Jew­ry and the Sovi­et Union. An expe­ri­enced pub­lic speak­er, she has also taught at Dart­mouth, Stan­ford, Colum­bia, Uni­ver­si­ty Col­lege Lon­don, among oth­ers. She received grants from the Amer­i­can Coun­cil of Learned Soci­eties, the Memo­r­i­al Foun­da­tion for Jew­ish Cul­ture and the Israel Acad­e­my of Sci­ences for work on Old Lives and New.
