David Sel­cer, a retired lawyer, authors the Buck­eye Bar­ris­ter Mys­tery series, in which there are four books to date. His fifth book, Lin­col­n’s Hat: And the Tea Move­men­t’s Anger, was award­ed first place in the cat­e­go­ry for his­tor­i­cal fic­tion in the Chan­ti­cleer Reviews writ­ing com­pe­ti­tion. The Old Sto­ries is a fic­tion­al account loose­ly based on his grandfather.
