David Biro was edu­cat­ed at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Penn­syl­va­nia, Colum­bia and Oxford. He teach­es at SUNY Down­state Med­ical cen­ter and prac­tices der­ma­tol­ogy in Bay Ridge, Brook­lyn. He is the author of two works of non-fic­tion — One Hun­dred Days (2000) and The Lan­guage of Pain (2010) — and two nov­els–This Mag­nif­i­cent Dap­pled Sea (2020) and And the Bridge is Love (2021). He lives in New York City with his wife and twin boys.
