Andrea Strongwater is an artist who has recently turned her attention to Jewish themes. Her major project – re-creating in words and paintings synagogues that no longer exist – is a traveling exhibit, series of books and a lecture. Strongwater works out of her studio in Manhattan.
She received a BFA from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning. Her Jewish themed work can be seen on kosher chocolates, ketubot, ceramic tiles, notecubes, post-its, cards and prints.
