Alan Gratz is the author of many books for young readers, including Samurai Shortstop, Something Rotten, The Brooklyn Nine, and Prisoner B‑3087. His books have been named to numerous “best of the year” lists, including the ALA’s 2007 Top Ten Best Books for Young Adults. A native of Tennessee, Alan now lives with his family in Western North Carolina.
