Leslie Fazekas was born in Debre­cen, Hun­gary, in 1925. In 1956, dur­ing the Hun­gar­i­an Rev­o­lu­tion, Leslie and his fam­i­ly fled Hun­gary and immi­grat­ed to Toron­to, Cana­da, where he still lives.
