Joel Greenberg holds an MA and a JD degree from Washington University (St. Louis). His career has focused on environmental protection, and he has worked for the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission, City of Chicago Department of Environment, and other entities. Greenberg has published four books on nature including A Natural History of the Chicago Region and A Feathered River Across the Sky: The Passenger Pigeon’s Flight to Extinction. Greenberg has written nature related essays for inclusion in two volumes and has published numerous reviews and articles in a host of publications.
