Pas­sion­ate about his­to­ry, this is Faris’ sec­ond Holo­caust book. The first won the 2020 Nation­al Jew­ish Book Award/​Holocaust and 2020 Amer­i­can Soci­ety of Jour­nal­ists and Authors Award/​History. She lives with her hus­band in Eugene, Oregon.
