San­dra was born and raised in Argenti­na and immi­grat­ed to the Unit­ed States in her mid-twen­ties. She has worked as a free­lance writer, screen­writer, and screen­play con­sul­tant. Franzisca’s Box is her sec­ond work of his­tor­i­cal fic­tion; San­dra is cur­rent­ly pen­ning anoth­er his­tor­i­cal fic­tion sto­ry and anx­ious­ly wait­ing for the debut of Life Mat­ters, a tele­vi­sion show she co-wrote, set to air on the FYI Net­work this July.
