Richard L. Rubin was for 27 years a pro­fes­sor of polit­i­cal sci­ence at Swarth­more Col­lege teach­ing cours­es on the inter­sec­tion of race eth­nic­i­ty and pub­lic pol­i­cy as well as on the polit­i­cal cul­ture of Amer­i­can Jews. His aca­d­e­m­ic career was pre­ced­ed by notable suc­cess as a busi­ness­man and he has devot­ed his retire­ment to writ­ing study and var­i­ous char­i­ta­ble causes.
