lse Weber (1903 – 1944) was a notable Jew­ish poet. From 1933 onward she and her fam­i­ly were per­se­cut­ed by the Nazis and in 1942 deport­ed to the There­sien­stadt Ghet­to. Michal Schwartz Ph.D. stud­ied lit­er­a­ture and phi­los­o­phy in Frank­furt and Jerusalem and taught Kab­bal­ah and Jew­ish lit­er­a­ture. Her book on the phi­los­o­phy of Franz Rosen­zweig appeared in Berlin in 2003.
