Bruce Rat­ner served as New York City’s Com­mis­sion­er of Con­sumer Affairs and was the founder and chair­man of For­est City Rat­ner, a major real estate devel­op­er that led the revival of down­town Brook­lyn and Times Square. He is the founder of the Michael D. Rat­ner Cen­ter for Ear­ly Detec­tion of Can­cer and is on the boards of Memo­r­i­al Sloan Ket­ter­ing Can­cer Cen­ter, Weill Cor­nell Med­i­cine, and the Cold Spring Har­bor Laboratory.
